This project presented a unique challenge of harmonizing modern design with the strict guidelines of a historic district. As the lead designer, I was responsible for conceptualizing and executing an outdoor space that would complement the home’s traditional architecture while offering a contemporary and inviting atmosphere.

The design centered around an elevated swimming pool, accessed by a dramatic staircase flanked by modern rectangular planters. These steps created a visual journey through the landscape, leading to a serene pool and patio area. The overall aesthetic was inspired by the timeless beauty of Greek islands, featuring clean lines, natural materials, and a focus on creating an escape-like ambiance.

Navigating the complex permitting process within the historic district was a critical aspect of this project. Through careful planning and collaboration with local authorities, I successfully obtained the necessary approvals to bring this vision to life. The result is a stunning outdoor space that seamlessly blends historical charm with modern elegance.
